After the success of the Lucy dress, it isn’t surprising to see a second instalment: the Carly 1960s-inspired paisley dress by 66 Clothing.
The Lucy dress was a successful design for the 66 Clothing offshoot of Mod Shoes. Initially starting out (like this one) as a paisley shift dress, it received different finishes but still sold well because of its simplicity and strong vintage look.
I suspect the same will be the case with the Carly dress. Again, it’s just a paisley dress right now, but I am sure if sales prove strong enough, we’ll see more cloth variations in time.
Like the Lucy design, this is launched as a limited edition paisley design in two colour options (blue and brown), and like the previous one, I suspect that alone will win it some admirers. You don’t see as much paisley as you used to.
The dress, made and designed in the UK, is described as ‘super soft, stretchy and easy to wear. ‘ The short sleeves and slightly different shape are the main design changes from the previous piece.
Just online now, sizes are 8 through to 16, and the price is £55 if you want a pre-Christmas treat for yourself.
