If you want to bid on the auction for The Jam About The Young Idea auction, you can do that on Friday – and from the comfort of your own armchair.
Adam Partridge auctioneers is undertaking the auction, but you don’t need to go. All the lots are now online, 81 pages of it in total, some of which is photographed, other lots not as yet (if they ever will be). But all have descriptions and all can have bids left on them if you register with the auction house.
Alternatively you can contact the auction house to get a phone bid if you want to bid over the two days in person. Or of course, you can turn up. If you are bidding in advance, bids have to be received no later than 7pm on Thursday 6th October 2016 or they will not be processed in time for the auction.
Reggie is so much here, from rare pressings and posters, through to band gear, clothing and some really niche stuff too.
We have picked out a few things here, including the famous ‘Great White” unique custom built Premier drum kit above, used by Rick Buckler from 1980 – 1982 (estimate £20,000 – £30,000), plenty of posters including the Brighton Beach one below (£50 – £80), Rick Buckler’s blazer (£250 – £400), Bruce Foxton’s Sound Affects tour shoes (£200 – £300), Paul Weller’s paisley scarf (£100 – £200) and a large display wall (£1,000 – £2,000).
That is just the tip of the iceberg though. See it all at the auction website.
