Music Reviews
Various Artists – King New Breed R&B Volume 2 (Kent)
A well travelled and knowledgeable black music fan, and club regular once came up to me and thanked me and the Hideaway Club’s playlist for putting him onto a wealth of hitherto unknown 45s from the King/ Federal labels.
The Electric Mess – Falling Off The Face Of The Earth (Self)

Fay Hallam and The Bongolian – Lost In Sound (Blow-Up)
You know what? I’ve been listening to Lost In Sound by Fay Hallam and The Bongolian for some time now and I’m still not sure what I actually think about it.
The Primitives – Echoes and Rhymes (Elefant)
The Primitives, remember them? I’m guessing you at least remember Crash if nothing else. Well, the band are back, with an album of obscure ’60s covers called Echoes and Rhymes.
Various Artists – Dave Hamilton’s Detroit Soul (Kent)
