Not sure how rare these are, but I suspect the George Doswell-designed Small Faces miniatures are pretty sought-after, not least because the man who made them is no longer with us.
If the miniatures look familiar, that’s because this set, part of his Music in Miniatures range, is from the same range that was used on the cover artwork of Paul Weller’s Stanley Road album, which was put together by Sir Peter Blake. The seller says he was given the set for Christmas in 1997, as his dad knew George and obviously got a set that way.
The set is described as being in ‘amazing condition’, because it was never taken out of the box due to its rarity. There are apparently ‘two tiny blobs of blu-tac’ on the drummers and keyboard player’s stools to hold them in situ in the box but this can be removed without leaving any marks.

The seller says you will not find this set again as it was produced in such a tiny run and a web search doesn’t bring any sign of another set. That could be why the bidding is now at £102 – with a few days still to go. See the listing if you want to see the other photos or even stick in a bid. Might be a shrewd investment.
