Few do it better than this label, and for me, the Emporda 1960s-style knitwear by DNA Groove is up there with its best.

I mean, just look at it. Imagine pitching up in this gem. Guaranteed to turn heads in a bar, club or just out and about. An old-school design that still works today.

It’s the work of DNA Groove, aka Claudio, who has been producing top-end clothing for the Mod scene and beyond longer than almost anyone out there. Always quality, always limited in numbers and always worth checking out.

And this is a perfect example of what Claudio does. Three colour options of a single design and a design that takes its inspiration from something worn in the 1960s and into the 1970s by anyone from rude boys to hip Italian dressers and many in-between.

Made in Spain in limited numbers (just 50 of each), the sweaters/cardigans are made from a midweight extra fine wool and detailed with contrasting faux-suede contrast stripes and a single pocket, along with natural corozo buttons and a typically large DNA collar. Enough detail to get you noticed and nothing more.

Good for wearing as a later now, but likely to come into its own in the warmer months when it would be a great substitute for a jacket.

The first in a series of similar designs, it will be good to see what the others are like. But if you want in on the first generation, €160 gets you one.
