A free two-day event celebrating the music and culture of New Orleans takes place in London next month.
Festival New Orleans takes place at The O2 arena on the 25th and 26th of October. There will be performances from over 20 acts over three stages, including Dr. John, Allen Toussaint, and Buckwheat Zydeco. Expect the best in R&B, jazz, blues and gospel to infuse the surroundings of this part of south-east London. Also on offer are Louisiana food demonstrations, the Mardi Gras Indian Rhythm Section, and a range of ‘authentic New Orleans attractions’, including a recreation of the French Quarter’s Bourbon Street. This is the largest gathering of Louisiana artists ever
assembled for a festival outside of the United States, so it really is a must-see event.
