If you are a fan of the label then you’ll no doubt want some of the Gabicci 50th Anniversary clothing collection in your wardrobe.
Not everyone is, I think it’s fair to say. Gabicci has always been a label that can divide opinions. Perhaps because not all the designs tend to tick the Mod box. But many do, and the longevity of the label is perhaps a testament to that.
And this new collection has picked out some of the better pieces from the archive to celebrate 50 years of Gabicci. Oh yes, a couple of retailers have their own exclusive designs too, which is a nice bonus.
Most of the reissues and rediscovered pieces do follow what you expect of Gabicci. Yes, the full-button cardigan with contrast details and a pocket with the ‘G’. It’s the kind of thing that has kept the tills ticking over all these years.
But not all of the designs are like that. Some of the more interesting follow a slightly different route – like the crew neck t-shirts, for example, as well as the polo shirts and short-sleeve knits you see on the page here.
In short, the range is worth a browse on both the sites of the retailers carrying these pieces. All are limited editions, and of course, once they are gone they are gone. So don’t hang about if you see something you want on your back over the spring and summer.
And yes, there are those exclusives too. The black and mint cardigan is a Mod Shoes & Gabicci Exclusive Limited Edition and is available in all sizes for £99. You can pick that up here.
Also, Stuarts of London has two variations of the Gabicci Searle polo shirt. You can see one above, but there is another version in black too. Each of those retails for £110, and you can grab one here.
The rest of the range can be viewed across the websites of either of those retailers. So you can check out the 50th-anniversary range at Stuarts of London here, or you can view the 50th-anniversary range at Mod Shoes here. Prices are similar, I think, but feel free to compare and contrast as some pieces might be retailer-specific. As a guide, anything from £60 upwards.
