A new design from an always-interesting company. The Georgie Fame t-shirt by Gama Clothing.
I do like Gama Clothing. A label that’s selective about the designs it produces, which means it doesn’t bring out all that many new designs. So when a new one lands, it’s usually worth a look.
That’s why I added the label to my best Mod and 1960s t-shirts makers and sellers round-up a while back. Do have a look at that if you have a few minutes. Or just have a look at this t-shirt.
According to Gama, this Georgie Fame t-shirt ‘literally sings pink champagne that left me feeling blue’ and is a tribute to one of their favourite artists ever.
For me, it also has the look of the old Ricky Tick poster artwork too. Fame was a regular at the club (you might recall the R&B at the Ricky Tick 65 album that was produced for Record Store Day a few years back). Whether that’s intentional or not I don’t know. But it does add to the appeal.
As for the t-shirt itself, that is 100 per cent cotton and in light pink with a black print on it. Gama adds that ‘Georgie himself was always a fan of a bit of black and pink’, which explains the colour choice.
Want one? It is now available to buy, retailing in all sizes for £23.
