It launched fairly recently, with The Who x Pretty Green Collection likely worth a second look now it has all dropped into the sale.
Of course, it has. We are operating around Black Friday, so pretty much everything seems to be in the sales right now if you shop around. But you can only buy this range at Pretty Green as an exclusive.
It’s not the first time The Who has had a clothing range created around it. Some years back, a range by Lambretta landed, although I don’t recall anything special about it at the time.
This one seems more thought out, and although there are aspects that are easy to criticise (like all ranges like this), there are some interesting pieces in there too. And with 30 per cent off everything, suddenly more affordable too.
Said to be ‘inspired by the band and their stylish fans’, the collection mixes those obvious Mod looks like a customised parka and a blazer with designs you might recall band members wearing in their earlier years. The latter is more appealing to these eyes than the former, which have been done to death. But that’s just my view. You might like what PG has done on that front.
Anyway, enough talk. Let’s look at some of the pieces from the collection.
At the head of the page is the Moon Jacket, so called because of its similarity to a design worn by Keith Moon. And yes, the badge does come with it. Down from £150 to £105.
The target roll neck, again based on past band wear, is available in two colours and sells for £91, down from £130. Working down, a similar design is the Daltrey, which again features a logo first seen on the man himself in the 1960s.
Accessories, too, including the badges you see here. Again in the sale, with the price down from £20 to £14. Of course, if you want the parka that is available and is also in the sale. Down from £395 to £276.50.
Much more, too, although some sizes are starting to sell through. If you want to see it all, then have a browse of the Pretty Green website.
