Obviously there is an online outlet store these days, but you will not get better bargains anywhere outside of the John Smedley Mill Sale.
That’s because all prices get knocked down for just a couple of days, if you are willing and able to make the trip to the John Smedley factory in Derbyshire. Previously we’ve been talking 75 per cent off and I would expect something similar this time.
That’s because the clearance is usually last season’s stock and slight imperfections. But to be honest, Smedley’s mod-knitwear range rarely changes through the seasons – usually it’s just the colours. You’ll be hard pressed to find fault with the imperfections too, that’s what you get with a high-end maker. Just make sure you get there early for the biggest bargains.
