You know what they are – Heinz baked beans tins with a dose of The Who added to them. For good reason. The Who Sell Out – Super Deluxe Edition Box Set lands soon and the Heinz baked beans can is prominent on the cover. So a collaboration between The Who and the food giant doesn’t seem like a strange thing at all.

Saying that, it does seem odd that Heinz has gone down this road. Its website is big on personalised products but I don’t seem to see any other link-ups with music acts. This is probably a first. And maybe a last.

The bad news is that the signed cans have sold out. I bet there weren’t many and they all went to people in the know. Hardly a surprise. But the standard ones, which are just as appealing, are still available.

You get the tin with The Who branding and pop art font, which is likely to remain unopened by the vast majority of you. If you want some beans, just buy some for a fraction of the price.

You can also get a gift box, which sells for a little more, but is probably worth getting while it is out there. All proceeds from the cans will be donated to Magic Breakfast and Teenage Cancer Trust and the cans are available to buy right now.

The price is £5.49 and the gift box is £1.69 extra.
