Based on a design worn by Paul Weller and Terry Hall back in the day, this Bengal stripe shirt by Pellicano is limited to just 50 units.
So that’s a good reason to get a push on and pick one up if you like the look of it. The other reason is this is an eye-catching and well-made piece of clothing. It doesn’t come cheap, but at the same time, it doesn’t break the bank for a limited edition, either.
As I said, both Paul Weller and Terry Hall were photographed in a similar shirt decades back (see the retailer’s site for photographic evidence), and I’ve been doing this site long enough to know that anything Paul Weller wears or has worn always ticks a box with a number of people. Hence the reason why you might not want to hang about for one of these ‘Gino’ shirts.
This is a blue and white Bengal stripe shirt, which has been made using a ‘crisp’ poplin cotton and includes the iconic horizontal stripe flap pocket, as well as the button-down collar, locker tab and back pleat.
Each one has been made in Italy and finished with real mother-of-pearl buttons. It’s a regular fit (check the sizing on the site), and there are just 50 in production.
