As I hinted at on social media, a limited edition charity Modculture t-shirt is now available. Read on for the full details.
I have never done anything merchandise-related in over 20 years of running the Modculture site. Some might say I’ve missed an opportunity, but to be honest, my focus has always been on writing and running the site.
But I’m making an exception right now – for charity. A family local to me need help for their severely disabled son and I am hoping that profits from t-shirt sales might help the cause.
I have teamed up with Mr B’s Soulful Tees, whose Mod and 1960s t-shirts I have featured in the past. Very popular they were and are too.
The result is a Modculture ringer t-shirt, which is available in two colour options, both featuring the current Modculture logo. They are available now from Mr B’s for £20 in all sizes and will be available for a limited time.

The charity:
There is a good reason why I am doing this t-shirt and it’s to help the family of Thomas Brown. Thomas has multiple life-limiting conditions including Cerebral Palsy, Hydrocephalus, Cortical Visual Impairment and Epilepsy. He has complex ‘toileting’ needs and is unlikely ever to walk unaided although he can weight bear with assistance.
With that in mind and with local and national support limited, the family need to fund adaptations to the house and install a wheelchair lift. None of which comes cheap. To add to the woes, a builder recently pulled out, leaving the house as something of a shell, so funding is required urgently.
You can find out all about Thomas’ fundraising at his Just Giving page and although I won’t be able to finance all the work required with this t-shirt, I am hoping that together we can at least help push towards the target.
Thank you in advance for your support.
Did I miss the T-shirt sale? The link takes me to the main Mr B retail page.
No, the link still works – but you’ll need t scroll down the Mr B page to see the t-shirt. Hope that helps.
A very nice initiative, Dave, glad to support it!
