Perfect options for warmer weather, these limited edition Madras button-down shirts by Pellicano are available now.
Pellicano makes some lovely clothing, but I probably don’t mention it enough. I have mentioned its Bengal-stripe shirt, and the label did make the cut in my top 25 Mod labels of the 21st century rundown, which I do need to update.
But it’s generally worth keeping an eye on for its limited runs of clothing and especially its shirts.
This brings me nicely to this new selection of three limited edition Madras shirts. Two long-sleeve shirts and one ivy-inspired popover.
All are handmade in Italy by a family-run shirtmaker, and all are limited to just 50 units, produced from what’s described as an ‘ethically produced Italian made fabric’.
Details include real mother-of-pearl buttons throughout, an open box pleat and locker hoop to the back, a generous three-finger button-down collar with a floating interlining, the back of the collar ‘third’ button, and a chest pocket with the maker’s signature sunglasses holder.
The fits are described as regular – see the retailer’s site for more exact details of that. Sizes are small through to XXL, and in light of the limited run, there is probably not a huge number of each.
£80 for the popover and £100 for the long-sleeve versions if these work for you.
