This might not look interesting at first glance (unless you are a Bowie fan, obviously), but the David Bowie Pin Ups Radio Show is well worth listening to, especially as it’s pretty short.
Here’s the story. Bowie did a ‘mock’ radio show 40 years ago to promote his Pin Ups album. That album was celebration of the bands in the ’60s that Bowie watched and was influenced by – with the show talking about that whole scene, mixed in with Bowie’s covers of those tracks.
The show was never broadcast, lost, but recently found in the vaults. 6 Music has it available to listen to online for a few days. In fact, you can listen to it below. The covers that appeared on Pin Ups might not be to your taste, but the snippets of chat are interesting enough.
