Various colours and a look inspired by Mary Quant. These leather Mary Jane shoes at Joanie are now available.
Of course, the Quant reference is the retro daisy design on top. Regular readers will know I did a round-up of vintage Mary Quant reissues some time back, which is worth checking out if that’s your thing. But it didn’t include shoes like this.
Perhaps because shoes like this never made it into the Mary Quant range. But if I told you they did, you might well believe me. They fit within a Quant look of the mid-1960s.
These Mary Janes are made from what’s described as a ‘high-quality, sustainable’ patent leather in a ‘classic square toe strappy dolly shoe shape’ with a low heel and comfortable cushioned sole for ease of wearing during the day or more comfortable dancing at night.
The details are mainly that bold daisy design on top, adjustable double straps with elasticated round buckles, a vintage-inspired square toe shape, and a contrast leather lining.
Four colour options and a good range of sizes are now available for £95.
