The label is incredibly popular on the site, so it’s probably a good idea to flag up the newly-launched Merino wool casual track tops by Magliamo.
You probably know all about Magliamo. It’s a cycling-based label I have featured in the past and one that has caught the eye with a number of you. If it hasn’t, check out my interview with Diederik Degryse of Magliamo, which tells you about the label, the man behind it and its famous fans (including Paul Weller).
If you want classic cycling gear that adapts for casual use, have a look at the full range. But I’m focusing on these new editions, which are probably the biggest step away from cycling so far in the label’s history. Although it is still connected to the sport.
These are track tops, but track tops that celebrate the cycling scene. At the top of the page is the Mexico72 track top, which pays tribute to the Eddy Merckx ‘world hour record’ established in Mexico in 1972. The logo of that games is printed onto the back.
Beyond that is the Gruppo Sportivo, which pays tribute to the typical Italian cycling team track tops from the sixties and seventies. Further down is the Via Roma, celebrating the Primavera, Milano-San Remo and the Sallanches80.
All are made from 100% extra-fine Italian Merino wool, handmade and of course, with a full zip front.
Lovely things, they retail direct from the maker for €149.95.
