The Modcast Weekender 2019 in Hastings

One for your diary, with The Modcast Weekender 2019 in Hastings confirmed for October 2019.

Plenty going on as well at the Azur and The Piper in Hastings from Friday 18th October through to Sunday 20th October 2019.

Buy a three-day wristband and get access to both venues, with the full line-up of events (all included) to follow (here) nearer the time. However, one thing already confirmed is Kenney Jones, who will be in conversation with Terry Rawlings and Eddie Piller, presumably talking about his past and his autobiography, which is being republished in paperback in the very near future.

Of course, there will be club nights and sounds aplenty, taking in northern soul, R&B, jazz, ska, funk, revival, psych, garage, 60s beat and classic mod sounds. The Modcast too, naturally.

The Azur: Bang on the beach in St Leonards, with access directly onto the pebbles Great dancefloor plus we are bringing our own soundsystem in.

Eddie Piller, Bob Jones, Ivor Jones, Marc Lessner, Dean Thatcher, Jeff Barrett, Rocky, Gavin Page, Mick Farrer. Wendy May, Will Nicol, Dean Chalkley, Lloyd Attrill, Fred Ekander, Jo Wallace, Adrian Jae, Tony Hayzer, Eddie Stenner, Ian and Rob, Des Cridland, Val Palmer, Dave Edwards and Paul Anderson.

The Piper: Lovely old pub with dancefloor, soundsystem and roast dinners! Presently being renovated. Opening May and three minutes from sea front.

Accommodation and food not included. There are loads of hotels, bed and breakfasts and rentals.
Hastings old town is a 10-minute walk up the seafront.
Nearest station St Leonards Warrior Sq or Hastings a little further.

If you want tickets, they are available now for £50 plus booking fee at the We Got Tickets website.
