The events are starting to appear for the warmer months, including the upcoming Mods Mayday 2025 in London.
I’ll be doing a big update of events soon, but for now, let’s focus on this one. It takes place on Sunday, May 4th, 2025, at 229 in central London (opposite Great Portland Street Tube Station), and tickets are on sale now.
The flyer covers what you get pretty well. But if your eyes can’t quite make it out, I’ll list it all below.
Mods Mayday 2025 is a one-day event in the capital, with events taking place over four rooms as well as using some outside space.
Room 1 is where you’ll find most of the headline bands. So far, the line-up includes Secret Affair, Purple Hearts, The Style Councillors, New Street Adventure, Rhoda Dakar, Sharp Class, plus more to be confirmed.
Room 2 has live performances from Squire, Big Boss Man, Small World, The Threads, Laurie Wright, Mark McGounden & The Deep Six plus Gli Statuto from Italy.
Room 3 is where you’ll find Eddie Piller’s Modcast room. That will feature Q&A’s with Trevor Laird (‘Ferdy’ from ‘Quadrophenia’) and Mark Wingett (‘Dave’ from ‘Quadrophenia’) during the day.
Room 4 will be ‘Our Favourite Shop’, which will have exclusive merchandise from all of the artists along with record and clothing stalls. There’s also an outdoor area with Mod DJs and a bar if the weather plays nicely. The compere for the event is everyone’s favourite, Dave Edwards.
Note that it is an 18+ event, with tickets on sale now for £44. You can pick them up from See Tickets, along with the official A3 posters, for £11.
