A little late to the party here as the album came out earlier this year. But it’s worth flagging up The Arrogants right now as they’re heading off on an extensive tour of Europe very soon.
The tour is in support of that album, going by the name of No Time To Wait. If you love the noisier end of garage from the 1960s, you’ll probably love this.
An authentic 1960s sound that could fit easily into a ‘Nuggets’ compilation, it’s actually the sound if a bunch of French teenagers with a love for that era and of old school R&B and garage punk. Loud, energetic, slightly chaotic and extremely catchy. Ticks all the boxes for me, as well as The Pretty Things, who had them on as support recently.
You’ll never believe this is the work of a bunch of 16-year-olds.
But you can find out for yourself by seeing them on tour, with the dates all listed below, including a couple of UK shows. If you want the album you can order that here and if you want to just hear them, there is a (slightly cheesy) video here too and the full album is also on Spotify. The band has a Facebook page too.
