A limited edition, so get online late tomorrow to secure a pair of the Adidas Rom City Series trainers or risk missing out.
Originally known as the Rome, the Adidas Rom was a regular reissue for a couple of years up until around 2012. After that it disappeared petty much completely. But is now back as the second City Series reissue of the year after the Adidas Brussels. Note that there are still a few pairs of that reissue at Hip.
The Rom dates back as far as there 1960s, but it probably came to the fore in the 1970s, with the version dating back to that era being the one commonly seen and the one being reissued this time out.
It’s an all-round training shoe complete with EVA rubber sole unit, gum outsole and a set of chunky grips on the sole.
The upper is typically Adidas of the era, with a leather finish, contrasting leather stripes, suede overlays and the gold foil branding to the side featuring that Rom name. Adidas logos on the tongue and heel finish things off.
Well, not quite, a couple of other details are worth mentioning, which are the textured vintage style tongue and the colour, which is white with contrasting blue.
Expect to pay the same as the Brussels, which is £89 and expect demand to be quite high. But on the plus side, more retailers across the board will be stocking these rather than it being a store exclusive.
The launch date and tine is 11pm on Friday 1st March 2019 and if you want a pair, I suggest you hair a look at the Adidas official store, End Clothing, Size? or Hip Store to get a pair.
