The cold weather might just be holding off now, but it will be back soon. So perfect timing for these Paul Weller-inspired scarves at Mod Shoes.

Some of the designs have appeared during the autumn/winter months over the past couple of years—always as limited editions. I know a few people have missed out in the past, and if that’s you, don’t miss out again. You never know when they’ll be gone for good.

The scarves currently available are the ones you see here (along with a couple of Beatles-themed scarves on the website). Working down the page, those are the incredibly popular Boy About Town scarf, the black and orange Style Council-themed college scarf, the When You’re Young scarf in black and pink, and the When You’re Young scarf in navy.

The first of those is probably the one that catches the eye the most. The Boy About Town scarf is made in Scotland from 100 per cent Scottish lambswool and is inspired by a scarf worn by the man himself in the later years of The Jam. See the maker’s site for a pic of Weller wearing something similar. I have one myself and it’s a lovely thing.

The priciest of the bunch at £42.

The Style Council-themed college scarf is what that sounds like – a college scarf made of 100 per cent wood, hand sewn and with a Polyester Fleece Back for comfort. Based on the Style Council colours, it’s also based on a scarf worn by Mick Talbot back in the day. £40 for that one.

The final two are similar but differ in terms of colour. Made in the UK, these are acrylic scarves (so a cheaper option) in colours based on jackets worn by Paul Weller in his days in The Jam.

£18 for either of those.

All are available now at the Mod Shoes website
