If you like the idea of some classic British R&B played by a band from the modern era, then you need The Shoots debut 7-inch on the Heavy Soul label.
The name might be new, but one of the members of The Shoots certainly isn’t. The band features the much-loved Paul Orwell on guitar and backing vocals, working alongside vocal extraordinaire Lord Essien and a live band featuring Michael Parrett (bass) and Charley Herbert (drums).
The excellent debut single is I Don’t Know / Do The Jerk and it will be out on limited (just 300) 7-inch, which is available on pre order from Thursday 8th June via Heavy Soul Records. Even better, an album is to follow.
