Thanks to Bernard for flagging this up, a theatre production of Quadrophenia at the Edinburgh Fringe.

Not that we know much about it above that. It seems that the production is by the Hoghead Theatre Company and is described as a ‘new adaptation of the cult classic film’. Take what you like from that.

It adds: London, 1964. Jimmy, loathing his dead-end job and dead-end parents, lives for his scooter and his Mod mates. It’s August Bank Holiday and gangs of Mods are heading to Brighton on their scooters. Trouble is, so are the Rockers.

The play runs from 1st – 9th August, with the play lasting just 50 minutes according to the listing on the site. You’ll find it at theSpace on the Mile, 80 High Street in Edinburgh.

We wouldn’t expect too much, but if you happen to be in the area and tickets aren’t too pricey, might be worth sticking your head in.
