Likely to sell out fast, so make sure you are available tonight if you want a pair of these Adidas Munchen City Series trainers.
The thing is, these releases are never an exact science. Allocations are very random from one shoe to the next. From almost impossible to secure to plentiful in alternate releases. I expected the Adidas Japan and the Adidas Paris to be tough to pick up, but they are still available in some sizes even now. Other reissues have sold out without even appearing online for more than a few minutes.
My advice, which you can take or leave, is to presume each release will be in short supply. If you simply want a pair, it really doesn’t matter. But I wouldn’t go into this presuming you can have a lie-in on Saturday then casually pick up a pair.
Many will want these for a couple of reasons. The obvious one is that this is a good-looking shoe. Typical City Series design and with that lovely royal blue finish.
Also, this is a reissue of a rare shoe. This Munchen is a ‘one-to-one reissue’ of a Japanese-produced 1980s design from the archive. With that in mind, we are unlikely to see it again anytime soon – if ever. That’s why I think this will sell fast.
As I said, a typical City Series design, but this time with a royal blue finish for the suede upper, some white detailing plus a rubber outsole and the Munchen branding on the side in gold. That’s it. Nice and simple.
Updated: These are now in stock in all sizes for £85. If you are quick you can get them at the Size? website.
