If you happen to be in the capital this Friday (25th June), it might be worth checking out Rock 'n' Roll Soul at The Phoenix, Cavendish Square, W1.
Following on from Martin Freeman, the guest DJ is Workingman's Soul curator Sie Watson, who will be spinning tunes and selling copies of Working Man's Soul Vols 1 & 2 at knockdown prices. He'll be joined by residents Jah Shabby, Gary Barrell and The Horse for six hours of 60s soul, funk, mod pop, psych and assorted exotica.
Check out our feature on the club here, with the night running from 8pm – 2am, £5, £4 with badge/NUS is the admission price.
