A modern-era Christmas gem, it is pretty much what you expect. Which is a vintage soul / funk take on Christmas classics and a few that are likely to be new to you. If the idea of White Christmas with a driving funk beat and a stunning soulful voice appeals, this should be right up your street. Love the fact that Little Drummer Boy has become Funky Little Drummer Boy too. It’s all better than enduring Band Aid and Slade for another year, that’s for sure.
