If you missed it, the Small Faces – Four To The Floor EP is a new and upcoming release via the Acid Jazz label.

It’s all about the instrumentals, something the band were exceptional at producing and perfect for the dancefloor. Hence the name of this EP. This extended play picks out four of the finest, those being ‘Grow Your Own’, ‘Almost Grown’, ‘Own Up Time’ and ‘Plum Nellie’, all of which have the approval of surviving band member Kenney Jones, who also pens sleeve notes for the EP.

The tracks have also been mastered by Nick Robbins directly from the original Decca tapes with lacquers cut by Barry Grint at Alchemy Mastering. According to the label, the end product ‘sounds astounding’.

For the release, Acid Jazz has also revived the Rare Mod Series so the disc comes in a laminated flip-back sleeve with a Tony Gale photo of the group in their prime 1966 glory.

If you want a copy you can pre-order one now at the Acid Jazz website. It retails for £10.
