Get in quickly if you want this Steve Ellis limited edition gold vinyl collection, especially as it includes a signed print too.
I think this came out as a CD a short while back. If it did, I missed it. But I’m on top of this one, which lands just after Christmas, but is available to pre-order now. Probably worth pre-ordering it too as it isn’t going to be around forever.
Officially titled The Best Of The Love Affair & Steve Ellis, it takes in the pick of his output, from the early days as part of Love Affair right through to the more recent collaboration with Paul Weller.
That’s not quite all. After the Love Affair hits (which are included here), the album also pops in the previously unreleased last Love Affair single Time Hasn’t Changed Us (which was found in songwriter Phillip Goodhand-Tait’s garage on an old acetate), as well as material from Ellis (a band he formed with Zoot Money) and more, right up to the Weller recordings.
The one annoyance is that that it doesn’t include the title track to the Joe Orton Loot film for some reason. Oh well.
All the tracks listed below, with the album pressed on 180g gold vinyl. The inner sleeve features liner notes by Steve and photos and memorabilia from his own collection. One other thing too – you also get a signed print as part of the package.
