Still in the market for a decent t-shirt? Let me point you in the direction of the new Steve McQueen striped t-shirt by 66 Clothing.
New to the shelves of Mod Shoes via its clothing label 66 Clothing, this is a shirt based on worn by Steve McQueen in his heyday of cool. You can see him pictured above wearing something very similar.
To be fair, Steve McQueen could have got away with anything and looked the part in the 1960s, but he also had a great eye for style. Making some designs of the day his own and in turn, timeless classics. The likes of the Persol folding sunglasses, the Tag Heuer Monaco watch, or the Sanders and Sanders Playboy boots to name just a few things.
But it’s not all about big labels. Something as simple as this black t-shirt also looked pretty good ten – and it still does now.
It is just that—a black t-shirt with a distinctive white stripe design across the front and sleeves and a crew neck. The top is made in the UK ‘to the highest standards’ using soft Italian cotton and has a maker’s tag in the collar and subtly on the hem. That’s pretty much it—understated style.
All sizes are available, and if you want an extra t-shirt to last you the rest of the summer, this one costs £48.
