Well, everything else is already available to order, including the book and the soundtrack on CD and 45 vinyl box set. So really it’s perhaps no surprise to see Elaine Constantine’s Northern Soul movie offered on pre-order to own too.
Now this is a bizarre release. I never knew Ray Charles made a film, let alone one in mid-sixties London. But Ballad In Blue exists and it’s coming out via Network this year.
Style doesn’t really date – and style oozes from Plein Soleil (1960), which is getting a cinema outing and a blu-ray reissue, the latter for the very first time.
