Unusual to find something like this on the high street, but this Tatum 1960s-style belted dress at Joanie is such a thing.

Well, not exactly on the high street, as Joanie is online. I would say more like ‘mainstream fashion retailer’, although I’m not sure Joanie is that either. But it certainly isn’t one of the smaller handmade 1960s dressmakers I have featured here in the past.

The benefit of that is that the dress (or dresses) here are available right now without having to wait for it to be made. And secondly, there’s a massive range of sizes too. Anything from 8 through to 26 and everything in-between.

Joanie has a reputation for producing retro styles, with plenty of 1960s pieces landing too. You might recall the 1960s dresses by Dawn O’Porter X Joanie, my of which are still available to buy.

As are the two variations of the same dress you see here. It’s described as a ‘60s-inspired mini that’s intended to be both comfy and eye-catching. The dress is made of a thick jersey fabric with a bold retro print, a high neckline with a stand collar, short sleeves, functional belt loops, and a matching removable belt with an oversized round buckle.
