There is nothing new about the Scene range. It is something I have featured before, with a selection of colours dropping this time last year. But variations on the theme have been around for years prior to that.
And that’s what you have here. A variation on a very topical theme. The World Cup is on, and as a result, AGC has produced a full team of 11 Scene knits to cater for the stylish footie fan. None of your replica shirts here.
Instead, the range features a set of colours that should cover a good number of teams. Some obvious from the World Cup (I see you, Belgium and Brazil), others less so. There’s also one obvious mistake too.
That’s right. You might well have spotted the Italy top, which I believe was put into production when it looked like Italy would be present at the World Cup.
These ranges are planned long in advance, so this was always going to happen. Anyway, Italy looks amazing and will continue to do so long after this World Cup fades from memory. That’s the beauty of these knits. They are a strong Mod look that works pretty much all year round. Something of a modern retro classic.
