Well, it never went away, to be honest. But with a boost in shades and a tweak to some of the designs, it has had a relaunch – and in good timing with the sunny weather now here and looking to stay.

T-shirts are everywhere, but slightly smarter t-shirts with a 1960 look are less common. And right now, 66 Clothing is doing a good job of producing them.

As I said, the original, which was offered in two colours (and is still available in some sizes), proved popular. See the white here and the blue here. The new colours keep the retro theme going.

Broadly speaking, the new colours, which you can see here, are cream, green, blue, white and brown. Distinctively old-school colours that match the design of the shirt.

As for that design, which is a homage to Beach Boy Carl Wilson (hence the name), that’s a slim-fit crew neck with a waffle-style design to the front and contrast tipping to the neck, sleeve and waist.

Note there are subtle differences to some styles, as there is a V1 and V2 of the shirt, differing with the tipping and frontal design. Regardless, all are at the smarter end of the t-shirt market, and if the 1960s is your thing, then you’ll probably love it. All the current colours are shown here, but as I said, the early ones are limited in size right now.
