If the more obvious mod events don't tickle your fancy this New Year's Eve, The Lurid City features some familiar mod names, but with something slightly different.

Taking place at Balls Brothers Wine Bar, 158 Bishopsgate, London EC2M 4LN (opposite Liverpool Street Station)  on Friday 31st December 2010 from 10pm until 6am, it promises a 'night Of hot jazz, R&B, early soul & rock 'n' roll from the 40s to the 60s'.
