A returning design to the Art Gallery Clothing range, with the The Who-inspired Talny crew neck sweater available in two shades.
Returning because this one did appear in the label’s range back in 2022 (and I’m pretty sure I had one a couple of years before that too). If you missed out or you want an upgrade, then good news – it’s back.
The name is a tribute to the late Shel Talmy, one of the cornerstones of the British beat moment in terms of production and of course, the man behind the debut album by The Who.
And at that time, the band was wearing sweaters that were not dissimilar to the one here – hence the name.
If you want to look like an early-to-mid ‘60s member of The Who – or you just want some knitwear that isn’t a Christmas or Fair Isle jumper – then have a look at the striped sweater in either red and blue or a blue and forest green. Both have horizontal stripes and that crew neck. Cotton construction, so not too heavy.
Grab one now, selling for £75 in red here or in the blue here.
