That 30 years since The Jam split thing is certainly producing plenty of product, including Thick As Thieves – Personal Situations With The Jam by Ian Snowball and Stuart Deabill.
Published by Marshall Cavendish, this large-form book (a high-end scrapbook if you like) looks at the legacy left by The Jam on an entire generation. Packed with unseen photographs from gigs, back stage meetings, merchandise, setlists, tickets and the like, the book is also based around personal reflections, memories and interviews with band members, journalists, celebrities and most importantly, the fans who turned out to the gigs and bought the records.
There’s also a foreword by Paul Weller, which adds to the authenticity of the publication. Amazon is doing it for a much discounted rate of £6.99 if you want a copy. Also, check out the promotional video for the book below. Also, check out our piece on the final gig from The Jam in 1982.
