No, this isn’t a Baracuta and nor does it pretend to be. But the Uniqlo Harrington Jacket is under £40.
I think there are more colours coming, but so far you can choose from beige, navy and an olive green. At first glance, this is your classic Harrington, but a closer inspection reveals it isn’t. This is the Uniqlo take on the jacket.
In this case, an elasticated waist and cuffs, a ‘contemporary’ (think slimmer) shape, a two-button collar with a rib material at the back for comfort and two angled pockets – not buttoned in this case. A plain back too, so no umbrella vent and a check lining.
Uniqlo makes some good quality stuff, so if you just want something cheap for day-to-day wear, this is worth checking out. Especially when you compare prices. A G9 from Baracuta is at least £295 (unless you get lucky in the sales). A Uniqlo Harrington Jacket? That will set you back just £39.90.
