I know I mentioned the store only days ago, but these unworn 1960s bowling shoes at Ham Yard Vintage are also worth a mention.

Interesting, but in fairly short supply with the sounds of things. There are four sizes available, but the store says ‘small quantity’ and I have no reason to doubt them.

As for the shoes, these are unworn, from the 1960s and made of what’s described as an ‘exceptional soft’ leather in a royal blue. They were originally made in China and haven’t left their packaging since they were produced in that particular country.

Love the colour, the contrasting lacing, the stitching and the ‘Torch’ logo on the side. I particularly like the fact that they come in that original vintage bag too.

Obviously this was designed as a bowling shoe and although it could work as an all-rounder, you should note the smooth sole – not the kind of thing for an icy day in February. But for a summer shoe? Maybe.

If you want a pair, have a look at the sizes and if yours is there the price for these vintage bowling shoes is £56.60.

Don’t forget to check out those vintage Breton tops I featured from the retailer last week too.
