If you didn’t know, a new and improved version of the Weller-inspired Cafe Bleu t-shirt by 66 Clothing is now on the shelves.
And that’s obviously a good thing with summer making something of a belated start. In 20+ degrees, you need a decent t-shirt of two, and this is certainly an option.
The t-shirt is based on one famously worn by Paul Weller in the Style Council era and reproduced in the modern era by 66 Clothing via Mod Shoes. You might already own one, as a first run (which sold out) was made available a year or two back. If you missed out, here it is again.
A bold, striped t-shirt, the kind of thing you probably associate with the 1960s rather than the 1980s. But nostalgia was also a thing back then too. The design hasn’t changed much – if at all – but the construction has. This is now made in the UK using an improved fabric. If you’ve had a 66 Clothing t-shirt in the past, you’ll know they were well made in the first instance. So, a step up should only add to the `appeal.
So, a boss stripe, a high, vintage-style neck, and subtle branding on the hem and inside the collar. That’s pretty much it. Most sizes are available; if you want one, the price is £44. Other t-shirts are also making a reappearance in the range, so if you like this kind of thing, do check out the full collection.
