I know it’s not really suede jacket weather, but the Baracuta G9 Suede Harrington Jacket clearance at Stuarts offers big discounts.
More than you would expect to find elsewhere, that’s for sure. This is a premium take on the classic (dare I say iconic) G9 jacket, worn by everyone from Steve McQueen to Elvis, but very much a key piece of the Mod scene. Mods have been wearing these jackets longer than anyone remembers.
Of course, the cotton finish is the standard one, but there are not many in the sale…yet. There is a clearance at Baracuta but it is mainly limited editions as well as some of the jackets you see here – but with less money off.
From what I can see, the best discount is here for a side jacket. Good for now if the temperature drops a little, perfect for the autumn. Look after it and it will look after you for years.
This premium, made in Italy take on the G9 is pretty much the same jacket as the cotton one. But with a pricier and more substantial construction. The outer shell is made in what’s described as a ‘silky soft suede’ but is still matched up with the classic Fraser Tartan lining, crafted from a poly-cotton Coolmax material that is designed to help the wearer stay cool and dry.
As you would expect, a two-buttoned collar with a fine rib inside, two-way zip closure and finely ribbed cuffs and hem the all-important five-point umbrella-inspired back vent. It is finished with a set of buttoned flap pockets at the front and an internal slip pocket.
The full price for one of these is a hefty £615. But with 40 per cent off in the sale, the jacket, available in most sizes, is down to £369 in the colours you see here.
