A mod classic, but with a difference. That’s because these are Clarks Originals Deserts Boots with a Gore-Tex finish.
Yes, the timeless boot, which has been around since 1949 but very much associated with the 1960s mod scene, has been given the Gore-Tex treatment. Basically is has been added to the sand suede upper to help it withstand the elements of autumn and winter.
One other difference too, again with winter in mind. The boots now have a new EVA / rubber sole instead of the classic crepe. It might not be the thing for purists, but it definitely means more use in all weather conditions.
If that all works for you, the boots are available now, selling for £119.
Don’t forget that you can still get discounted Desert Boots without the Gore-Tex at the Clarks Online Outlet Store.
