Always one for the diary if you love your knitwear – the John Smedley Mill Sale.
We’ve just got details of the next sale, which is actually the first one of the year. The dates you will need are Saturday and Sunday 3rd and 4th November 2018. In light of so few of these of late, this one is promised to be a ‘good one’ (and that’s word from inside John Smedley itself).
The address is the main John Smedley base, which is at Lea Mills, Lea Bridge, Matlock, Derbyshire, DE4 5AG (tap it into your sat nav as it can be tricky to find).
In the past, prices have been from as little as £20 and nothing more than £29. You can compare that to the full prices on the official website if you like, but I have just looked and right now the full price of a three-button polo is in excess of £150. So you can see why these clearouts are so popular and why people make a point of spending big and putting their finds away.
Of course, if you can’t make it to the Derbyshire factory over that weekend for reasons of time or geography, don’t despair. There is also a John Smedley Outlet online that does get new stock in on a regular basis and can offer massive discounts too. You just have to be quick when they get the classics in your size online.
Good luck if you do travel – I might see you down there.
