Loosely based on a design worn by Roger Powell, this The Action-inspired Jackpot blue stripe button-down shirt is now available.
I say loosely because that’s the case. If you check out the retailer’s page, you can see a shirt Roger Powell wore in the mid-1960s with a blue stripe similar to this one. But it isn’t an exact copy.
You’ll notice the original has contrasting collar and cuffs as well as dark buttons. This one is based on the style and cloth, with the end result perhaps being more versatile than that original. It has ‘the look’ rather than being an exact reproduction.
If you like it, this is a limited edition produced exclusively for the maker in Portugal by a small family-run business, with all the usual details you would expect of a ‘period’ button-down, from the collar to the back button.
The sizes are pretty much whatever you want, running from XS through to 3XL, and the price for any size is £75.
