If you are on the hunt for a Lambretta scooter, then you might want to check out this 1963 Lambretta Li 125 S3, which is up for sale on the eBay website right now.
According to the seller, this particular scooter was imported from Italy last year and has undergone a considerable amount of work to create what you see here. And what we can see looks pretty impressive.
This scoot has been ‘stripped to the frame’ and ‘rebuilt’, with the side panels, leg shields, mudguards, headset, horn casing and foot rests all professionally resprayed. It also has now tyres an ‘mph’ speedometer, s.s.rear carrier and a petrol tank.
The seller adds that there was some ‘very light rust’ when the restoration was started, but the panels are ‘very solid and original’. The original speedo showed less than 5000km, which might well be true.
It starts first or second kick every time and all lights etc are working just fine. If that all sounds like music to your ears, you can always put in a bid. Right now it’s at £1,600, with a ‘Buy it Now’ price of £3,750 if you want to go down that route.
