If you know the movie (and I guess you do), then you’ll probably recognise this Dave From Quadrophenia-inspired top by 66 Clothing.
If you don’t, let me point you in the right direction. It’s the top worn by Dave (played by Mark Wingett) in the cafe scene in Quadrophenia towards the end of the movie. If you want your memory jogged a little bit more, scroll down the images here, as there’s a screen grab near the bottom of the page showing the original piece of knitwear.
The top he wore in that scene has been remade/recreated by 66 Clothing/Mod Shoes and is available to buy right now.
Essentially, it’s a four-button, long-sleeved polo shirt with the same detailing as the top worn in the movie. So, stripes down the side and some strip detail to the top of the single chest pocket. The collar is large without being too large, if you know what I mean.
It is made of cotton and is available in sizes from XS right through to 3XL. And it has just gone up for sale.
If you want one, the top retails for £86 directly from the maker and, as far as I can see, nowhere else.
