This reminds us a little of two popular designs from recent years, but the John Smedley Newstead long-sleeved polo shirts definitely have their own merits.
The Newstead is one of Smedley’s exclusives. By that, we mean you can only buy it online. To us, it reminds us a little of the One True Saxon cycling polo shirts, as well as the Rapha Merino cycling shirts, not least with the striped detailing on the arm.
Where this differs is obviously by losing the pockets and throwing in a fairly long five-button collar, as well as the company’s extra-fine Merino wool. This is certainly a classic Smedley.
Plenty of colour options to choose from, two of which are pictured here. As for price, they sell for £105.
