Playing catch up with new bands right now, but we’ll start getting the backlog down with The Sonik Seeds, out of Sheffield.
The Sonik Seeds seem like something of a hybrid band. There’s a good dose of old school garage in here, along with a touch of British R&B, along with some modern-day indie and a finishing touch of ‘Sheffield’. This isn’t a band pretending they’re from downtown LA, that’s for sure.
So far, there are just tunes on Soundcloud to play with – I’ve embedded Outsider below, which I think is the pick of that bunch.
