The Kinks limited edition Mono vinyl box set

Good news if you are making a Christmas list and know someone generous – The Kinks limited edition Mono vinyl box set.

Of course, a Mono Box Set was released in CD format a few years back, but this one takes things up a notch by going with vinyl and throwing in a few extras.

In total, you get 10 slices of vinyl from 1964 to 1969, all on 180g vinyl – the first eight albums in mono, including ‘Live At Kelvin Hall’ plus a bonus double LP compilation ‘The Kinks’ (aka ‘The Black Album’) along with a ‘lavish’ hardcover 48-page book including never-before-seen photos and new interviews with Ray Davies, Dave Davies and Mick Avory.

So that is:
· Kinks
· Kinda Kinks
· The Kink Kontroversy
· Face To Face
· Something Else By The Kinks
· Live at Kelvin Hall
· The Kinks Are The Village Green Preservation Society
· Arthur (Or The Decline And Fall Of The British Empire)
· Kinks (2 LP Black Album)

Each box also has a 12 x 12-inch collectors print and the sets will bone limited to just the first run. Once they’re gone, they are indeed gone. So you might want to pre-order ahead of the 18th November 2016 release date.

To do that, you need to go to Pledge Music to get one or try Amazon. In this case, Amazon looks far more expensive, so perhaps the former is the best bet. But keep an eye on Amazon in case that price drops. The price at Pledge Music is £144.
