Now this is a treat. After quite an absence, the 1960s Adidas Japan trainers are returning to the shelves.
Update: It looks like End has restocked in many sizes for the Adidas Japan. You can pick up a pair here.
If you miss out, there are plenty of pairs listed on eBay right now at varying prices.
This is one of two big-name Adidas releases heading back this month, so you might want to check the bank balance as neither comes cheap. I know, that’s the way these Adidas reissues are going.
And with demand almost certain to exceed supply, no one is going to be questioning that too much. They’ll be at least twice the price (if not more) on eBay hours after their release.
This is one of the most-prized designs and the one that will fly off the shelves first. This is a shoe that first made its mark back in 1964 when it was launched at the 1964 Olympics in Tokyo. It has been reissued since and each time it comes back it is a hugely popular shoe.
The version here is a premium take on the Japan, with the upper made of what is described as a ‘buttery-soft’ kangaroo leather. But the design is much the same, a slim, low-profile shoe in white and red, complete with branding on the side in green, a leather pull tab on the heel, and an off white sole unit that isn’t going to offer lots of grip, but makes up for it in style.
So here’s the big one. How do you get one? Well, you’ll be pleased to hear that this isn’t a one-store exclusive. But you will need to get lucky to get a pair as stock is likely to sell through in minutes.
The date for your diary is Thursday 27th August 2020, with 12pm being the selling time. If that changes, I will update it. Expect to pay a hefty £120 too.
Where from? The usual places for these limited-edition releases I would assume. So you should make your way to the likes of Adidas, End Clothing, Hip Store, Size? and Sneakers n Stuff at the launch date and time to get a pair.
